Art Quest  - Every Wednesday oil painting classes will be offered by Roberta Blick at Windermere Union Church. Classes are held weekly from 9:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. If you are a church member a donation of $25.00 per month is required which will go to the WUC church building fund or for non-members a $30.00 donation. Students choose their subject matter and provide all supplies for the classes. Class size will be limited to six students. Children's Church for Elementary School Age & Up - After the children's message all children are invited to leave (with their parent's permission, of course) to experience their own special church. The activities will be based on bible stories and will vary from week to week. There will be games, crafts, prayers, drama and we will learn about the different parts of the worship service. Preschool age will still go into the classroom across from the nursery with Mrs. Chris and first grade and older will go into the classroom across from the nursery. If you would like to interact with the young people of our church this is a great way to share your time and talents, please contact Angela Bednarek at 407-612-6050. Sunday School will continue to be held between the two services at 10:15. The lessons will be different so your child can enjoy learning about God's love in many different ways.

Dr. Walter E. Barker - Dr. Barker founded Pathfinders Counseling and Consultation, Inc. in Orlando, Florida in 1984. He is a Florida Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and does individual, marital, family, and group psychotherapy. Dr. Barker is seeing clients at the Windermere Union Church. Have You Ever Considered the Importance of an Usher! - As an Usher, you could make someone's day simply delightful, just by smiling and welcoming them to our beautiful church facility on Sunday morning, or special event! The goal of the Worship committee is to form a team of Ushers. We are looking for ladies, men and children (6th grade and up) to join our team of Ushers. We will be holding a formal training class on the correct way to serve as an Usher in the near future. Please consider this a simple, but very important way to serveour church and its congregation. Invitation to Serve as a Liturgist - Don't have time to serve the church by participating on a committee but would lilke to do something to serve the church? If you enjoy reading, please share your enjoyment while you learn the scripture passages! During the first worship service each Sunday, the liturgist reads the Call to Worship, offers a prayer of invocation (inviting God to join our worship service) and reads the scripture passage. Preschool Spring Fling - Windermere Union Church Preschool presents Spring Fling 2008 on Friday, April 11, 2008 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. There will be games, slides, obstacle course, bounce houses, train rides, face painting, food, snow cones, cotton candy, silent auction and much, much more! Come join us for an afternoon of family fun!

Preschool Summer Programs - WUC preschool will offer four 1-week summer programs. The sessions will run June 23-27; July 7-11; July 21-25 and July 28-August 1. The hours are 9:00 a.m.-2:00p.m. The fee is $125. The children are required to bring a packed lunch to school with them each day. The preschool will provide a mid-morning snack. There will be no nap time. Depending upon the registration needs, we will offer one class for each age group: 2-1/2's, 3's and 4's. Whatever age group your child was in for this school year would be the same age group to register them in for the summer programs. There will be a theme for each week. Some considerations are beach, nature, america, animals, etc. We will follow the same teacher/student ratios that we currently use. The teacher's will be current staff members. Weekly activities will include: crafts, playground, snack, lunch, free play, story-telling, movies and more. Registration will be held on a first-come, first-served basis. For registration forms and payment please drop by the preschool office between 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Once you have registered, your fee is non-refundable.
